SQUINT SUGERY:

SQUINT SUGERY Basically two procedures Recession (weakening procedure) Resection (strengthening procedure)

RECESSION:

RECESSION The muscle is secured with sutures and dis-inserted from original insertion and placed at new predetermined insertion site

RESECTION:

RESECTION The muscle is exposed and sutures are placed at new site in muscle belly - Muscle is cut and advanced to original insertion site. Result is shortening of the muscle and increase in its strength.
