Dart :

Dart Dart is a very popular sport. Most people do not realize how popular it is . With the advent of electronic darts, the popularity soared. All around the world , in every walk of life , you will find dart players. Unlike most sports, anybody of age and size and even any handicap can play dart, And still be good at it . there are people throw dart from a wheel chair, on crutches and with a head brace. There are also people from 8 to 80 play and play well at that . All it takes to be good at dart is practice. There are games that may be played by any number of people, from 1 to 100. The only difference it makes is the duration of the game . Only difference it makes is the duration of the game. Darts develop hand and eye coordination , patience , motor-control, and sportsmanship. Aside from these benefits, it is an extremely relaxing game.

Board :

Board The board should be 1 inch thick to last long and the holes will not be visible where the darts landed, so that it can be used for long time.

Grip :

Grip The most important factor about a dart is what the grip is like . Most people will probably tell you it’s the weight, but if the dart is slipping out of your hand while throwing, the weight is going to affect how loud “the thunk” s when it hits the flood. Feel several different kinds of grips and find the one that slips the least in your hands. How much you sweat, how oily your skin is, how calloused your fingers are, where you like to grip the dart, and how tightly you grip it will affect what kind of grip is right for you .

Weight :

Weight There are two factors that make up how a dart is weighed: Darts come in many different weights from 12 grams to a maximum of 50 grams. When you buy your first set   Of darts , start with 18-21 grams . Most people play well with the range of weights and the mentioned ranged is the most affordable. As darts get heavier, they contain more tungsten to keep their size small. The more tungsten, heavier the dart but more expensive. How hard you throw the dart will determine how heavy the dart should be for you to see them accurately , The heavier the dart , the harder the throw must be to get it from the line to the board without falling too low.

The Shaft :

The Shaft Shafts are the short “stick” that connects the body of the dart with the flights or “feather.” They come in many lengths and even more styles. A longer shaft is better for a player with a weak throw or a player with a straight throw as they add more stability to the dart . What the shaft is made of may slightly affect the weight of the dart but more importantly , it determines what happen which there is a mishap : a fallout , striking one dart with another or a dart being stepped on. A metal shaft will not break, however, they may bend slightly. While they will last longer, you might be playing a set of darts with each one bent a little differently than the other when could greatly affect your game. Metal shafts also tend to be more expensive than plastic or nylons shafts.

The Flights :

The Flights Flights or feathers are the “ wings” at the back of the dart the guide it and keep it flying straight. The amount o surface area the flights have is in direct proportion to how much stability they add. Beginners should start with a large standard flight and experiment with different shapes and sizes after the throw has developed. Advanced players to professional ones tend towards smaller flights because their throws are very accurate and do not need extra stability strange flight offers .

The Set Up of Dart :

The Set Up of Dart

Slide 10:

The proper place to hang a dart board can be of different choices The area should be a low-traffic area to decrease the risk of injuries. There should be nothing breakable 2-3 feet or either side of the board and preferably nowhere near the board at all . Darts can bounce 8 feet or more off the board. You need an empty area roughly 5 feet wide and 11 feet long . Although you can throw over items in area, it can be very distracting The flood should be considered in several ways : A concrete , stone or tile floor will break darts and drill the points. A wood floor will get lots of oles in it around the front of the board. Linoleum or vinyl flooring will also get a lot of holes. A carpet will show a lot of wear from the traffic between the board and the line. You will need to mark the throw line with either tape, a sticker, or a screwed down wood or metal bar. In hanging the board , it needs to be hung exactly 5 floor 8 inches from the floor to the center of the bullseye . Good quality boards are hung from the center, making this measurements easy if you have a board that hangs from the top , you will have to measure the distance from the center of the bullseye to the hanger and add that to the height . if a Back board is used to protect the wall around the board , this will also have to be centered around the board .

Slide 11:

Marking the throw line ( also known as the ache, toe-line or hockey) should be about 3 feet wide. It may be made of tape , a store bought throw-line sticker, a piece of wood or metal . It should be placed exactly 8 foot 9 and ¼ inches from the face of the board for a standard steel-tipped set-up. For soft-tipped darts, the line should be 8 feet from the face of the board . to measure from the face of the board, have someone hold a plumb line from the bottom-front of the board to the flood. If you don’t have a plumb line, you can use a piece of string with a pencil or dart tied to one end. Make sure the throw line is exactly perpendicular to the face of board and centered with board. This can be accomplished by measuring the bullseye to each corner of the line.   Proper lighting of the dart board is very critical . It is important to be able to tell exactly where the dart landed without moving from the throw-line the ideal , lighting is from 2 lamps mounted from the ceiling to the left and right of the board.

General Rules of Darts :

General Rules of Darts The General Rules of Darts : The following rules are generally accepted for all games played with steel-tipped darts on a Standard English dart board. There will always be some variations on these rule depending on area , game , and people you might be playing with . if you are a beginner , be sure and check with your opponent(s) and/or partner(s) about any rulings until you are comfortable with the way the games are played in your are . Any dart may be used provided it’s total weight is under 55 grams. The dart board and throw line are set up as described in Dart Board Setup.
