PRESSURE: I’m back!!!:

PRESSURE: I’m back!!!

Moscow 55°N 37°E:

Moscow 55°N 37°E The pressure is measured every minute at the Moscow cosmic ray station (IZMIRAN, Troitsk ) 20 km to south-west. The data are in millibars ( mb ) and millimeters of Hg column (mm Hg). The station is 200 m above the sea level.

Units of Pressure:

Units of Pressure meteorologists use millibars ( mb ) inches of mercury ("Hg) or millimeters of mercury (mmHg) are in aviation and television weather reports 1000 mb = 750 mm Hg

Cyclone (циклон):

Cyclone ( циклон) A cyclone is a weather system in which air is warm and less dense ( менее плотный) than the air around it as a result of the Coriolis effect. Forms : hurricanes and tornadoes.

Anticyclone (антициклон):

Anticyclone ( антициклон) An anticyclone is a weather system in which the air “sinks”, the pressure is high on the ground, the wind is light and there are few clouds.
