The International Outreach Award London 2010 Batbileg Darjaa Mongolian Artist Batbileg Darjaa is a Mongolian painter whose most outstanding achievement to date has been a four-part study of the legendary British rock band ‘Queen’. This work has been enthusiastically received and will be shown at a major exhibition celebrating the 40 th Anniversary of Queen’s formation which will be held in London between February and March 2011. Batbileg has also been invited by the prestigious Swiss gallery En Beauregard to display these paintings during Freddie Mercury’s Montreux Memorial Day in September 2011.

The International Outreach Award London 2010 Michael Ormiston British Overtone Singer Michael Ormiston is Britain’s foremost singer of Khuumii , a technique of one person singing at two different pitches simultaneously. His overtone singing has featured for example in Hollywood films ( The Golden Compass, We Were Soldiers ), and the BBC’s acclaimed series Planet Earth. Michael started to master this technique in 1988 through numerous visits to Mongolia where he was tutored by leading exponents of the style. Since then he has been presenting workshops, lectures and individual lessons on Mongolian Khuumii worldwide.
