Food poisoning is caused by bacteria such as Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus and Shigella . A child that has an intolerance to foods may experience symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting and rashes on the skin.Slide 9: Rotavirus infection can be accompanied by low-grade fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. Excessive sugar will trigger the body to increase the amount of fluid in the digestive tract, and could make diarrhea worse. It is important to increase plant fiber and add probiotic supplements or cultured foods such as yogurt to replace colonies of "friendly" bacteria in the bowel.Slide 10: A stomach virus can cause illness that lasts from two to 10 days and are common among children, especially those who attend a group daycare.
