continuation…:

continuation… Observe the monthly and year round fire prevention activities such as Holiday Fire Hazard, Oplan Paalaala , Summer Vacation Fire Safety, Oplan Kaluluwa , Fire Prevention Month and other fire safety related activities as directed by the Higher Office. Further coordination with the Local Chief Executives about the acquisition of fire trucks for their respective towns or constituents through the Regional Director or directly to the Secretary of the DILG. Lobbying to LGUs on provision of Fire Aides to augment the depleted personnel complement of the BFP.

ISSUES AND RECOMMENDATIONS:

ISSUES AND RECOMMENDATIONS It is recommended that the problem on lack of personnel more preferably nowadays wherein additional acquisition of fire trucks is being addressed, additional personnel should also be given focus and attention and even lobbying to the LGU in the hiring of fire aides should be given priority in this province. The recruitment quota should be increased and priority should also be given to the residents of Antique to avoid financial and family displacements. Priority of procurement of fire trucks to be stationed at the municipalities without fire stations to bridge the disparity of response time and distance.
