Dr. A V Krishna Rao (FINA, FIE, SNAME, MRINA) : 

Dr. A V Krishna Rao (FINA, FIE, SNAME, MRINA) PhD in Naval Architecture (Ship Design) from Rostock University, Germany. Served in Hindustan Shipyard for 30 years. Ex- Deputy Director for National Ship Design and Research Center (NSDRC).

procurement of Luxury CATAMARAN FERRY By atDCTO TAKE tourists on pleasure trips in river Brahmaputra, Assam SCOPE OF SERVICES in the present project

Submission of a report on : 

Submission of a report on Assessment of tourist traffic. Conditions of the river Brahmaputra in the area foreseen for the tourist development. Study of currents data in the Brahmaputra River. Floods in the river and tying up of the Ferry suspending the trips. Maneuverability characteristics in the concerned area of Brahmaputra. Depth of water in this area. Weather conditions and suitability of the river for pleasure trips with the ferry. Fixing the passenger capacity, Length, Breadth, Draft and speed of the proposed Ferry. Depending upon the characteristics of water through out the year, suggest precautionary measures for preserving the Ferry. Operational Management , Maintenance services and Spare parts etc., to be in accordance with the builders recommendations.

Services provided by HMD for this Project : 

To prepare the detailed design of catamaran ready to take up construction by the selected yard/ builder. Detailed technical specifications to enable the yard to quote for construction and supply of the ferry. Delivery and commissioning of equipment with cost estimates. Preparation of the bidding documents in line with the provisions of public procurement standard guidelines. Assisting in the evaluation of bids and finalization of the builder. Consultancy services during construction works for catamaran such as arranging inspection during construction, participating in test/trials and commissioning. Services provided by HMD for this Project

Time Frame for submission of bidding documents : 

Time Frame for submission of bidding documents Submission of assessment report following review within four weeks from start of the services. Submission of draft bidding documents within two weeks after approval of assessment report. Submission of final bidding documents two weeks upon approval of draft document by ATDC.
