National recognition program No lost workday injuries for field geoscience, (mineral exploration and mining businesses) in Canada Presented by: Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC); Association for Mineral Exploration Bristish Columbia (AMEBC) 237 public and private sector reporting organizations 72, including OGS, met goal + received Award Testament to tremendous efforts by all OGS staff, Managers, MNDMF Corporate Leadership and HROntario.

13 Other OGS Results Continuously improved OGS health + safety record Never had a field fatality since OGS inception (1888) Most injuries are related to “fender benders”, cuts, scrapes, and sprains as a result of “walking through the bush” 2008: No lost-time injuries 2009: No lost-time injuries Safe Day Everyday Award 2008 (presented in 2009) “Safety first” cultural shift Controls in place for high risk activities (e.g. ATV)
