The planning for successful business generation, operation and continuous improvement has three major aspects – Defining and developing an Organizational Strategy 2. Creating right elements at right places to Reinforce the Strategy 3. Application, Monitoring, Periodical Review and Amendments to the strategy These aspects can further be classified into small tasks depending on the nature, role and performance of them.

The first stage of defining the strategy is completely conceptual and requires intellect to collect information, create database, analyze results and arrive at a resolution by scripting the mission and vision. Developing of the strategy involves some practical measures as creating the material to support the strategy in form of – Branding Tools like Corporate Identity, Corporate Profile(s) and a comprehensive archive of relevant documents, images and recent photos. b. Developing a system of media presence including digital as well as print. c. Designing the basic Structure with effective and efficient nodes.

The second stage of creating right elements at right places is the major process of designating positions to the nodes and writing KRA (Key Result Area) for each node. This phase should also include defining the pillars of the mainstay in the form of departments like HR, Business Development, Operations and Finance. This also should ensure that the particular teams have appropriate no. of people to accomplish the objective determined by the strategy and their qualification, experience and attitude is suitable to facilitate the department’s objective. The team should have very clear and practical objective and resources and the performance review should be a ritual and not an extreme measure for disaster management. Defining KPI (Key Performance Indicator) would prove to be an excellent tool for the scientific review of performance.

The last, most important and concurrent phase is the Application, Monitoring, Periodical Review and Amendments to the Strategy . Before initiating this stage the ground work should be complete in all respect to ensure the effective working of this stage. The ground work includes all the above stages along with building the right TEAM and dynamic communication of strategy to the entire TEAM across the organization. Once the Application of the strategy is in place, the monitoring should immediately and automatically start as the intrinsic process and should deliver the reports at predetermined intervals. The analysis of reports should again be an innate activity and the amendments thereof should immediately be enforced and communicated to counterbalance the deficits as well as to raise the bar.
