Account Current for entire WR sent from AFRES RJT. BRC and RTM generating (in a position to generate) their own Account Current. Some modifications relating to software being looked into. Reports like Zonal ACCOUNT CURRENT, SCHEDULE 5, REVENUE&CAPITAL JOURNAL, RAR, Suspense, Budget PU Analysis, Subhead/minor-head wise reports.

Oracle Database Server Backup: 

11 Oracle Database Server Backup Logical Twice a day – at 13.30& 20 hrs Physical (Cold) - Weekly Cold backup. -Automated archived log files back up every 5 minutes. Application Backup - Regular backup of both runtime and source programs Storage Godrej fire proof cabinet procured. All off-line media backup along with original software media and license are stored in it.

MORE SAFETY MEASURES: 

12 MORE SAFETY MEASURES In addition to backup, internal HDD RAID -1 enabled. Pack of 5 external HDD RAID-5 enabled. RAID setup enables mirroring of disks and striping of data for improved response time. It prevents any loss of data or down time in case of failure of a single HDD. Any hard disk failure risks minimised.

DATABASE SECURITY: 

13 DATABASE SECURITY Two tier security has been enabled for AFRES and PRIME Systems. Access restricted by assigning separate User-Id. Module-wise Menu level security enabled which restricts users to specific module, Menu and various options in it. Forced change of passwords every 30 days. Use of same User-id concurrently restricted to two sessions (user connection to the DB) forcing end-users to use their own Ids. Audit trail has been enabled on specific tables of AFRES and PRIME Systems to keep a tab on the manipulation of data. Report for the same can be generated as and when required.

Additional Activities: 

14 Additional Activities Training 84 Railway Officers and 848 Railway Staff trained in 2007 - 2008. AMC AMC of PCs and printers for HQ started. Rate almost half of earlier AMC. 3 engineers in EDP on call 9:30 to 19 hrs 582 PCs, 460 printers covered. Online call-logging through software. Pendency analysis etc. available.
