Try to limit chest interruptions in compressions Depth of compression should be 11/2 – 2 inches. Slide 13: Compression – Ventilation Ratio should be 30:2 for all age groups (except newborn) Slide 15: Ventricular fibrillation Normal Cardiac rhythm Abnormal Cardiac rhythm Ventricular fibrillation (V-fib or VF) is a condition in which there is uncoordinated contraction of the cardiac muscle of the ventricles in the heart, making them tremble rather than contract properly. DEFIBRILLATION IS THE ONLY CHOICE OF TREATMENT FOR VF AND PULSELESS VENTRICULAR TACHYCARDIA.
