Introduction :

The Boer Wars was the name given to the South African Wars of 1880-1 and 1899-1902, that were fought between the British and the descendants of the Dutch settlers (Boers) in Africa. I ntroduction

My views regarding war:

The war is being fought between the British and the two independent Boer republics, the Orange Free State and the South African Republic (Transvaal Republic). There are approximately 25000 soldiers in the Boers section and approximately 80000 soldiers in the British army. M y views regarding war

Results and Consiquences:

The Orange Free State and the Transvaal became colonies of the British Empire. They were granted indemnity for war damages by Britain and were promised parliamentary government (granted in 1906–07). The Boers were permitted to retain the Dutch language in schools and courts. When the Union of South Africa came into existence in 1910, the Transvaal and the Orange Free State were given equal status with Natal and Cape Colony. R esults and Consiquences

Conclusions :

The war kept on going for 22 years and the result was that the Boers lost the war and the Boers became a colony of them. It was a tough fight between the British and the Boers. The British were more in number as compared to the Boers. C onclusions
