The Client: Visiting Angels : 

The Client: Visiting Angels Provides personal care to in home patients. The type of care is non medical is available on a rotating shift basis or on a live in basis. This company also maintains a relatively dispersed workforce

Slide 4: 

Problem Statement Caregivers are not required to have any type of formal training and the hiring process includes a one hour instructional video that cannot possibly provide adequate training in all the areas of client care that the Caregiver will be expected to perform over the course of his or her job tenure.

Slide 5: 

Current Training Methods Training is currently in the form of a one hour instructional video at the time of orientation. Additional training is provided in office on an infrequent basis and is often facilitated by an expert in the field or by a registered nurse that is contracted by the company

Arriving at the Solution Training Needs Assessment was conducted using three different instruments- interview, questionnaire and direct observation Design Plan was then developed based on the TNA findings and recommendations

Making the Case for Training : 

Making the Case for Training Cost Benefits Creating a highly skilled workforce that is confident in their training will translate into more satisfied customers and a lower turnover rate for the company. Staffing The existing Client Care Coordinator and Human Resources manager will provide subject matter expertise, communicate the organization’s training objectives and manage the system post implementation. Sustainability Cost, turnover, continued involvement and enthusiasm of the management team and the ability to properly utilize and maintain the technology will determine sustainability

New Training Vision and Mission : 

New Training Vision and Mission Vision Visiting Angels provides training to its Caregivers in a manner that is effective and accessible in that it is available on demand at any time to employees….. MissionTo better prepare Caregivers for providing quality care to clients by engaging them in learning via our company website and compact discs that they can access at any time in order to improve their performance on the job.
