See all Premium member Presentation Transcript Food Around the World : Food Around the World Italian, Indonesian, Indian, French, Turkish, Japanese, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, English Italian Food : Italian Food Considered as the best food in the world, Italian food is famous world wide. Famous for its pastas, pizzas, bread and cheese. Coffee and wine are also the major part of the cuisine. Indonesian Food : Indonesian Food In Indonesia, it is common to eat with hand. Rice is the main dishes along with meat and vegetable. Meat often cooked with coconut milk with chili and spices. Barbequed meat and fish are also popular. As it is an archipelago country, seafood is very common. Indian Food : Indian Food The cuisine of India is characterized by its use of various spices, herbs and other vegetables grown in India and also for the widespread practice of vegetarianism across some sections of its society. French Food : French Food French cuisine varies according to the season. In summer, salads and fruit dishes are popular. At the end of summer, mushrooms become plentiful and appear in stews throughout France. Shellfish are at their peak when winter turns to spring, and oysters appear in restaurants in large quantities. Turkish Food : Turkish Food Turkish cuisine is largely the heritage of Ottoman cuisine, which can be described as a fusion and refinement of Central Asian, Middle Eastern and Balkan cuisines. The food rich in vegetables, herbs, and fish. Pasta is also common. Japanese Food : Japanese Food Japanese cuisine is based on combining staple foods, typically rice or noodles, with a soup, and okazu - dishes made from fish, meat, vegetable, tofu and the like, designed to add flavor to the staple food. These are typically flavored with dashi, miso, and soy sauce and are usually low in fat and high in salt. Mexican Food : Mexican Food Mexican cuisine is known for its varied flavors, colorful decoration, and variety of spices and ingredients, many of which are native to the country. Thai Food : Thai Food Thai Cuisine is well-known for being hot and spicy and for its balance of five fundamental flavors in each dish or the overall meal - hot (spicy), sour, sweet, salty, and bitter. Chinese Food : Chinese Food In most dishes in Chinese cuisine, food is prepared in bite-sized pieces, ready for direct picking up and eating. In traditional Chinese cultures, chopsticks are used at the table. Chinese sometimes consider food as god. English Food : English Food Traditional English meals have ancient origins, such as bread and cheese, roasted and stewed meats, meat and game pies, and freshwater and saltwater fish.
