Just where has this year gone? I received my third Christmas card, it does not seem possible that another year has passed by. It seems like I get up on Monday and it has turned into Friday, I just seem to mark time anymore. If I do not get letters answered the day I get them they are forgotten, I get so frustrated with myself, the remembering thing or the not remembering is giving me a challenge lately. Even when I write the information on the blackboard. Oh well! Enough complaining, I can still accomplish a few things, much more than many people my age. I still have a home, a comfortable bed, plenty of food and able to pay my utility bills, so what is there to complain about.

My sewing machine and plenty of fabric to keep me occupied for a long time, though the sewing machine seems to go faster than I can control lately so the seems are not quite so straight but I do not plan to give up completely. I made Susan an apron, she hinted at Thanksgiving that she would like a full one. I just finished a quilt I started in October. It came about because I opened a box of Puff tissues and the piece I pulled out was the shape of a daisy petal. I had some burgundy squares of fabric that were on the table at Kip & Cheryl wedding reception a few years ago, I had the urge to do something with them for Cheryl’s birthday which is in October, I just bound it yesterday. It was a bit of a challenge because I cannot feel a needle, and cannot pull it through the quilt so I have to use pliers to quilt, I just hope no one gets tangled up in the stitches.

There are 12 18 inch square blocks with a pink print 7 petal daisy appliqued on the block, each one is different, set together with hot pink with a navy blue square at the intersection, the block section is bordered with the navy blue and the overhang is hot pink, I bound the scalped edges with navy, I quilted daisy shapes down the sides and across the foot, she has been anxiously waiting for me to finish it. I feel like I should take out the machine stitches and do it by hand, but that may look worse?????? I just had to do something to prove to myself that there is still a bit of the creativity in me yet. I Am just trying to write this with a dog wrapped across my lap with his head on my arm, he seems to require a lot of attention, especially if I have been gone. If I don’t hold him he is attempting to jump on my lap and that makes it difficult. At least he is holding still now.

I feel good most of the time but have a shortness of breath problem, it was discovered that the thyroid medication dose was causing a problem with my heart, diagnosed as congestive heart failure so I have to take activities a lot slower. I am not going to give up and sit around, that would not serve any purpose, the dosage was cut from 110 mg to 75 mg, plus Warfarin was added, and the Hydroxyurea for the blood problem dosage was increased. I am so thankful I am in good health as I am, so many of my friends have more problems unable to be repaired or relieved by a change of medication., enough of this. Life is great, I am enjoying my time on earth and want to be of use in a worthwhile way while I’m here. I have made one Advent Calendar and several of the little ornaments for it, another one that was already made, Alyssa wanted one for her new home in California, she is getting to go to her husband, they were married in July.

Hunter volunteered to decorate her own ornaments and put the numbers on the pockets of the calendar, because she had gone back to live with her Mother. If any of you have lost ornaments for your calendar I have a few made so I could mail them. And I altered a friends grandsons karate outfit , I have some slacks to shorten for her.

Skyler & Alyssa are in Seaside California, I have her physical address but she did not know about a mailing address, she leaves the 8 th to go to CA.

Kip & Cheryl are moving to Dundee this weekend, Scott Wirfs is now working at Les Schwab in Elko Nevada Teresa and children are in Provo Utah until school is out at 753 W Heather Lane, Provo UT 84601 She spent a couple months with me trying to help her mother with her step-father, I don’t know how she did it as long as she did, she had the kids up and out of here each morning at 6 AM 5 days a week, music lessons on Sat. & Church Sundays. Exhausting!!!

Robbie Beam lives in Beaverton and Joseph Mc Murray has an aptmt 2048 NE 99W, Mc Minnville 97128 Blake Proebstel also is not living at home, I do have phones for some but as yet no addresses. Eldon & Diane Mc Murray moved to 475 S 300 W, Santiquin UT 84655 he is working at the same college but a different department. They love close to Diane’s parents who have challenging health issues.
