Fuji is named for the Buddhist fire goddess Fuchi. Paricutin: It erupted around 1943 through 1952. It was said to have grown out of a corn field. In 1994 the elevation of Paricutin was 9,186 ft. high scientist say that it will never erupt again. Belknap: It is located in organ. It is 2,095 meters tall. It was said top have erupted 1,500 years ago. It also was said to have erupted three other times. Ash was spread 100 square miles around.
