E-Learning for European Youth:

E-Learning for European Youth Assist the youth to better live in the digital age by bringing together actors of many different fields to realise several large-scale experiments of novel eLearning services for schools and higher education by improving broadband access to ICT based learning with seamless access to education content across a range of access infrastructures, including 3G mobile

Call 7bis: Objective of the call:

Call 7bis: Objective of the call to offer the mobile sector actors an opportunity to: jointly develop, test and validate, on a pan-European scale, a number of innovative (and open) multimedia mobile services and applications based on 2,5G (GPRS) and 3G (UMTS) technologies validate key interoperability issues between different networks and services consider the migration from IPv4 to IPv6 at technological and service levels

possible services & applications :

Trials (take-up measures):

Trials (take-up measures) the development work within a Trial is restricted to the adaptation, fine-tuning, customisation and improvement of already available methods and technologies towards the users’ needs evaluation of the technological and economic benefits of the innovative use of the technology Funding: up to 100% for Personnel and Other Costs up to 50% for Equipment, Consumables, Travel, Computing, Subcontracting 0% for overheads and IPR protection

in summary: call 7bis for trials of new 2.5-3G applications and services:

in summary: call 7bis for trials of new 2.5-3G applications and services to ensure a coherent and harmonized development of successful services and applications in Europe flexible to match market conditions and timings, with short duration (typically 18 months or less) total budget: around 25 M€ deadline for receipt 4 December 2001, 5 PM

IST2002 - V.1.1 CPA1 (RTD): Mobile applications and services (Call 8, publication foreseen on 15 November 2001):

IST2002 - V.1.1 CPA1 (RTD): Mobile applications and services (Call 8, publication foreseen on 15 November 2001) Objectives: To develop user friendly, pan-European applications and services, based on leading-edge mobile and wireless technologies, including 3G mobile systems and wireless LANs, in the framework of a transition from IPv4 to IPv6 based service provisioning. Focus: on integrated solutions combining advanced mobile and wireless technologies with multi-sensorial interfacing techniques to provide innovative value added services and applications. Inter-working and inter-operability of different solutions (e.g. 3G and W-LAN) in order to provide the most convenient and efficient service provision as a function of the user profile, which may include the user location. Possible applications and services include but are not limited to: Secure m-commerce/m-business and mobile work Mobile entertainment, streaming (also in combination with compatible broadcasting techniques), mobile learning location based, personalised and context-sensitive services Emergency assistance services and Mobile health applications and services
