Hold a Safety Meeting: 

Accidents and injuries have become a costly issue at Saladino’s Managers should hold a mandatory meeting for all employees involved in labor intense jobs to discuss reducing injuries Hold a Safety Meeting

Reducing Injuries: 

Avoid lifting frequently or for too many hours Managers should reduce the amount of lifting per worker Consider restructuring the job so employees have to lift less frequently Employees should notify a manager if they feel pain from lifting Reducing Injuries

Avoid lifting objects from the floor Managers should advise employees to never lift and twist at the same time Lifting from the floor increases the chance of back strains Set all objects at hip level Move the destination closer to the object Reducing Injuries

Process: 

Employees will complete the evaluation survey at their location. Locations will be equipped with a computer, printer, and internet. They will log in with their employee information. A confirmation page will print out thanking them for their participation. Process

Employees will take the conformation page to their direct supervisor. The supervisors will all have a supply of gift cards to give the employees who complete the survey on their assigned date. Reward

Scheduling and Enforcement: 

Surveys will be taken during a two-week period. All employees will be assigned a date and time to take the 10-15 minute survey. Supervisors will remind employees of the schedule. Surveys will be MANDATORY. If an employee misses his or her date, they will have to do it on a make-up day at the end. Scheduling and Enforcement
