In Greek Mythology many people belived in centaurs. A centaur was a half man and half horse mythical creature, from head to waist. It is said they dwell in mountains. Most centauars were thought to be crude and savages. The greek mythology says that they believe he was the son of Cronus . Kindly and wise he was asked and did teach legendary heroes such as Achilles, Asclepius, Hercules, and Jason.

But Chirion was best known among people because he was versed as they say in the arts of hunting, healing, and prophecy. In the Greek Mythology ,the king of Lapiths was Ixion . He is traditionaly known for killing the first kinsman. Ixion refused to pay his father in law, Eioneus , the promised prince for his bride Dia. And he murdered Eioneus by throwing him into a fiery pit. Then to purify him Zeus brought Ixion to olympuss where Ixion tried to vialate Hera but she turned into a cloud.
