Oh How He Loves Us!:

Oh How He Loves Us! UNCONDITIONALLY! If LOVE were an ocean we would all be sinking!

Oh, How He Loves Us!:

Oh, How He Loves Us! John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. There is no sweeter verse in the Bible. It declares: (1) That God is love. (2) That he loved the world instead of hating it. (3) That he so loved that he gave his Son. The Son did not come to appease the Father's wrath, but the Father sent him because he loved so well. (4) That he came to keep men from perishing.* Luther calls this verse "the Bible in miniature". It is a lesson as to God's love: (1) Its magnitude--he gave his only begotten Son. (2) Its reach--he gave it toa sinful world ( Romans 5:8 ). (3) Its impartiality--he gives it to whoever;that is, to all alike ( Matthew 5:45 ; Revelation 22:17 ). (4) Its beneficial richness--it blesses with life eternal. (5) Its limitations--it is nowhere saidthat God so loves that he will save unbelievers. Love is the mutual andbinding grace between God and man; it may also be said that in Christis made God human and man divine. **

Oh How He Loves us!:

Oh How He Loves us! 1 John 3:1; 4:9, 10 We are His Children! His love was made manifest We live through Him! While yet in sin He loved us! 1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 4:9, 10 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Propitiation - an appeasing, a soothing of God’s Wrath

Slide 6:

8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Rom 5:8 We have been Justified! "to show to be right or righteous;" We have been reconciled! as to remove all enmity and leave no impediment to unity and peace change on the part of one party, induced by an action on the part of another; in the NT, the "reconciliation" of men to God by His grace and love in Christ. We have cause to REJOICE! To make merry and to be glad! From the Greek euphrainō to be exceedling glad. Similar to the english Euphoria which is A feeling or state of intense excitement and happiness. Also related to a healthy state of mind

This is why:Ephesians 3:14-21:

This is why:Ephesians 3:14-21 14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith-- that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God . 20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Verse 17 is why the Holy Spirit had me share this with you tonight! to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God The church and individual believers, have, by faith, the full possession of all that Christ has to impart—the grace and comfort and strength of Christ received by them now. Compare Joh 1:16 ; ‘In him ye are complete, are made full’ ( Col 2:10 ); that is, the fullness of moral, intellectual and spiritual perfection is communicated by Christ to all who are united to Him. "When as the result of the Holy Spirit’s inward strengthening, Christ dwells in the heart, and His knowledge-surpassing love is known, the only limit to spiritual excellence is ‘to be filled unto all the fullness of God’!"( HDB, 735). ***
