Goals:
Goals To use quarters to teach students to connect with how they personally feel about specific issues by responding rather than summarizing/ regurgitating what was written about a certain issue or offering a plot summery of the piece.
Objectives:
Objectives 1. Students will be able to develop an understanding of writing response which connects with their synthesis of learning materials.
2. Students will be able to write a paragraph which uses response-style writing and demonstrates that they can personally connect to a given subject.

Vocabulary:
Vocabulary Response- The written demonstration of how one feels about a subject when the subject is connected to past information, feelings, and compared to what is known.
Summary- The very surface explanation of something that is read. Normally it is the regurgitation of given facts or, in literature, the story line.
