The aim of this special World Teachers Day is to activate the support for the teachers and also to ensure the requirement of the coming age group will go on to met by the teachers. History Slide 4: Near about One hundred countries celebrate the World Teachers Day. Labors of the Education International and 390 members of the EI organization has largely contributed in this globally stretch recognition. Education International, every year launches the public alertness campaign for highlighting contributions of the teacher’s in humans life. World Teachers Day offers opportunity to take the attention of the public to role of teacher’s globally and their significance in society and classroom. The theme of the World Teachers Day 2010 is “Teachers Matter”! What is World Teachers Day? Slide 5: Teachers deserve a little recognition, and some thanks and appreciation. Aside from parents of the child, who else has as much influence on the hearts and minds of a child... Teachers not only educate, but they help to shape and frame a child's beliefs, values, and behaviors. Parents and students are encouraged to offer thanks and recognition today. A simple "thanks", or an ecard is sufficient. BTW: An apple a day may keep the doctor away. But, teachers love to get apples. Why? These include: 1. The Australian Education Union. 2. The Canadian Teachers' Federation. 3. The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (Canada). 4. The All India Secondary Teachers' Federation. 5. The Japan Teachers' Union. 6. The Teachers Council (New Zealand). 7. The National Union of Teachers (United Kingdom). 8.
