Theatrics, Inc. Theater Company Founder: Vicky Juliano Mission Statement: Theatrics, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and education in the arts for everyone. Rehearsal Location: The Dance Factory Performance Location: Fort King Presbyterian Church

Engagement Activities:

Engagement Activities Need: Community interaction for children with Autism. Addressed: Through theater, music, dancing, and games with an “Under the Sea” theme.

Engagement Activities Preparation Workshop Planning the event Designing and printing fliers Making T-Shirts Writing scripts Choreographing dances Create/plan games Create themed coloring pages Played theater games Learned skits Learned dance to “Under the Sea” Made fish masks Colored back of programs 3-Day Event: Meet and Greet - Friday March 25th from 6-7pm Workshop - Saturday March 26th from 10am-3pm Performance – Sunday March 27th at 3pm

Materials Coloring Page Performance Program Registration Form Form giving us permission to use the students’ pictures Parent Survey for after the event Fliers Craft supplies Awards for each student Scripts for skits

Participants:

Participants Isabella “ Izzy ” 9 years old Loves Dora the Explorer and riding her scooter “Best Dancer” Tries very hard to please everyone. When she feels like she can’t, she has a “meltdown.” Cody 10 years old Loves Street Racer and cars “Best Actor” VERY outgoing. Has a sensitivity to certain sounds. Uses association to his favorite movies.

Participants continued:

Participants continued Julien 5 years old Loves his sister “Best Smile” Our youngest student. Has a difficult time speaking and relies on sign language. Also has a developmental disorder. Andrea 8 years old Julien’s sister “Best Helper” Andrea is non-disabled but wanted to be a part of the workshop with her brother Julien . She helped teach the dances and performed in a skit.

Participants continued:

Participants continued Michael 23 years old Loves movies and coloring “Best Fish Mask” Our oldest student. We did not put an age limit on our workshop and Michael was a great help with the younger students. Cyrus 12 years old Loves Taylor Swift, Ben Ten, and Spiderman “Best All-Around” Cyrus has a troubled past and can sometimes had violent tendencies. Theater proved to be a great creative outlet for him.
