Our Women’s Health Unit:

Our Women ’ s Health Unit We are the quintessential community women ’ s health unit We have generations of families returning to deliver their babies with us We have physicians whose parents practiced with us We have nurses who have spent their whole careers with us

Our Nurses:

Our Nurses We are a cohesive group Our main focus is to deliver quality care to our patients We accomplish this by teamwork Our patient satisfaction scores average 98%

Education:

Electronic Health Record:

Electronic Health Record Electronic Health Records (EHR) and real time charting have allowed us to have a quicker response time when patients ’ conditions warrant it.

Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE):

Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) We are currently training for CPOE and will go live in June We are the only women ’ s health unit in the Adventist Midwest Health System to go live with CPOE and IVIEW simultaneously We are excited to implement a system that can impact patient safety so greatly

Power Chart Maternity:

Power Chart Maternity We look forward to implementing Power Chart Maternity in the Fall The improvements will be awesome Mother and newborn information all in one system Physicians can access all information from home Pediatricians can access records instantaneously on readmissions And so much more!

Our Unit One of our own, Jean Stewart, RN, was a Midwife in England and has brought a wealth of knowledge to our unit.

Our Unit Our very own nurse manager, Denise Santucci, RN, began her career as a staff RN in our nursery. Denise was also the recipient of the 2010 ALMH Nurse Excellence Award.
