Considerations Made for Assignments :Considerations Made for Assignments What is the purpose of the assignment? (review/practice, preview/prepare, in-depth exploration, develop study habits and organizational skills) Does the assignment support the grade level standards and learning objectives? What is the minimum amount of work that can be assigned to meet the objective? How will the objectives of the assignment be assessed?


Work Completion Policy Guidelines for Students :Work Completion Policy Guidelines for Students Always do your best work. Write directions for homework in an assignment book/planner. Understand assignments clearly before leaving class. Bring home the proper materials to complete the assignment(s). Hand in completed assignments on time. Budget time properly for long-term assignments and projects. Complete any work missed due to absence from class. Talk to your parents and teachers if you are having difficulty with assignments.


Work Completion Policy Guidelines for Parents :Work Completion Policy Guidelines for Parents Be familiar with the philosophy and guidelines of the homework policy. Check your child’s assignment(s) and planner. Provide your child a time and a place to do homework with limited interruptions. Oversee completion of long-term assignments to assist in time management. Contact teacher with questions and concerns. Assist your student with homework as needed.


Work Completion Time Frame :Work Completion Time Frame Exception for challenge classes Þ Definition of homework—a class assignment not completed in class. Þ Homework may also include long-term assignments and makeup work.


Late Assignment Policy :Late Assignment Policy Special accommodations will be made for students with legal educational plans.
