Howard Colby Ives Reverend Ives was a Unitarian minister from New Jersey who had heard of the Bahá'í Faith at a time of spiritual searching. Rev. Ives memoir Portals to Freedom provides additional information about ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. He loved the Master so much and looked at meeting Him as the dividing point of his life.
