Solar Siting:
Solar Siting Study Area: Small shopping center in Cumming, GA. Data: LiDAR classified LAS file LiDAR was collected at a 1.5 meter nominal post spacing (1.5m GSD) for the entire portion of Lake Lanier, Georgia as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 while no snow was on the ground and rivers were at or below normal levels . Vertical accuracy of 15cm RMSE or better was required for this project Projected in UTM Zone 17N.
Criteria for a Suitable Location:
Criteria for a Suitable Location Slope should be less than 35 degrees. Location should be on top of a building. Aspect of slope should be facing South or horizontal. High rate of isolation (Plenty of sunlight)

Conclusion The study area contains 6.6 ∙ 10 4 m 2 of rooftop that meet all of the criteria established. This is over 90% of the total rooftop area studied.
