Fibromyalgia/Fibro/FM:It means chronic, widespread pain in the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. :

Diagnosed by a series of palpitations on what are called tender points. :

Chronic means it is always there. I will never feel 100% better until they find a cure. (If they ever find a cure.) :

I have been feeling pain since fourth grade.But… I was not diagnosed until seventh grade. :

Everybody, including my doctors, could not believe the pain that I was claiming to have. :

There are no tests, such as blood tests or x-rays, that can diagnose this disease…well at least not yet. :

All the tests they tried were negative, so they could not diagnose me right away. :

After multiple doctors, we finally visited a Rheumatologist, (doctor for Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, etc.) who diagnosed me with Fibro. :

Fibromyalgia is universal, meaning that it can affect every single system in the body. :

So, although I feel pain, it’s not the only symptom I suffer from. :

Fibromyalgia has already begun to impact my future, and it will continue to do so. :

I’ve had to quit jobs because they make my symptoms worse. :

I have to limit myself in Phys. Ed because it can worsen my condition. :

Everyday, I am reminded that I have a severe illness and that I cannot do what normal people do. :

Unfortunately, I will live with Fibromyalgia forever. :

This disease is mostly found in women who are between the ages of 20 and 50. :

I was diagnosed at a young age, so people find my condition to be impossible. :
