Seniors, It is my hope that each and every one of you know how much I care about your well-being. Before every break I say a prayer that all of you return to us safely. When asked if I’m ready to return from these breaks, I always respond “YES!” as I look forward to seeing your sweet faces in the hallways. Please make good choices as you begin college next year. You are invaluable and loved by many.  Good luck and I will miss you terribly! Mrs. (Marna) Craig

Oh, I am sorry to see this class go! I have had many of them in class for all three of the years that I have been at RHS now, and I can hardly imagine what next year will be like without them! They have kept me laughing even when I didn't feel like it. They are funny, bright, creative, and supportive of each other--at least the ones I had are! I do hope they will come back and see me sometimes. I will truly miss them. Katie CaseyFrench Teacher

Almost forty years ago I graduated from college with this math degree and wasn’t really sure that teaching was what I wanted to do.  I had taken the few courses that I was required to take, and had student taught, but teaching wasn’t really the number one thing on my radar.    Luckily, I was asked to teach at a junior college in my hometown, and then truly discovered that yes, in fact, teaching was not only on my radar, but I had zeroed in on that as my career.   This class of 2011 has been a blessing to me in many ways.  Some of the best and brightest that I have had the privilege of teaching are in this group!  They are remarkable young men and women, with many talents, and many blessings.    As a teacher, this has been a rough year.  I have come to school many times feeling beat up and downtrodden by the issues that we face in education at the state and local level.  But, that bell rings, and I get up in front of thirty or so mostly seniors in my first period class, and I can’t help but smile….my reason for being here, my reason for being at Ravenwood, my blessings are in front of me!  The students at Ravenwood…the class of 2011 – Thank you for being part of my life, my career, and my heart!   Cyndy “MAMA” Howes

Oh, the class of 2011, as Dr. Seuss say’s, “Oh the places you’ll go…”. I love this class! I have been fortunate to be with this class for every homecoming build, and gotten to know so many of you wonderful people! From freshmen year float winners of “Crack the Bell”, to sophomore float “Bald the Eagle”, to junior float “Bury the Bear”, to our final float “Spade the Cats”, OOPS, scratch that, “Pound the Panthers” you have been great. I truly look forward to hearing about the places you’ve gone, and things you have accomplished. And remember . . . “No dreamer is ever too small; no dream is ever too big.” Good Luck to you all… Mrs. Hawken Class of 2011 Student Council Sponsor
