Importance Questions For this questionnaire, I asked how important the following items were to 15 Murphy residents: Cleanliness Sanitation score Food quality Hospitality Food prices The looks of a restaurant The different varieties of food

Results to Importance Questions The results were as follows: Cleanliness was a major important factor to 80% of the Murphy residents that had taken the survey. The other 20% believed that it was only important to them. The sanitation score had differing results. The majority, 3/5 or 60%, believed that this factor was extremely important to them. Four of the 15 residents or 26.7% said that it was important to them. The remaining 13.3% said that it was somewhat important to them. The majority, or 80%, believed that food quality was only important to them, but nothing more. The remaining 20% believed that it was extremely important for a restaurant to have good food quality.

Results to Importance Questions (Continued) Hospitality in a restaurant proved to be extremely important to 60% of the Murphy residents. The other 40% said that it was important to them. The question about prices had differing answers. Nine residents, or 60%, said that prices were important to them, while 20% said that they were somewhat important to them, and the other 20% said that they were extremely important to them. The looks of a restaurant seemed to have different opinions or importance also. This factor was extremely important to 46.7% of the residents, while 40% of them believed that looks are just important and the other 13.3% says that looks are somewhat important. Many residents, 66.7%, believe it is extremely important that restaurants have different varieties of food to choose from. Twenty percent believe that it is important to have different varieties of food. The other 13.3% of residents believe that this factor is somewhat important to them.

Preferential Questions and Results Next the survey asked Preferential questions with subjects such as: Dining in or dining out Getting one’s food fast or waiting for it Being served or fixing one’s food themselves The results were as follows: Five residents, or 33.3%, prefer to dine in when they eat at a restaurant. Twenty percent prefer getting their food to go through the drive thru window. Another 20% says that it depends on the restaurant that they are getting food from, while the remaining 26.7% says that they like a little of both.

Preferential Questions and Results (Continued) When asked if they prefer getting their food fast or waiting for it, 26.7% said that they prefer a little of both every now and then, while 20% said that they prefer fast food, 33.3% said that they prefer waiting for it, and the remaining 20% said that it depends on their situation. When it comes to being served or fixing one’s food themselves, 60% like to experience both every now and then, 33.3% like to be served, and 6.7% like to fix their own food.

Informational Questions and Results For the last 2 questions of the survey, I asked the following questions: How often do you eat at restaurants in Murphy? How would you rate your experiences in Murphy’s restaurants? The results were as follows: 40% of the residents said that they eat at restaurants in Murphy very often, while 46.7% said that they eat at restaurants in Murphy fairly often, and 13.3% said that they rarely eat at restaurants in Murphy. Overall, the majority of residents, or 86.7%, rate their experiences as good, while the other 13.3% rate their experiences as fair.
