From Ireland to Italy

Day 1:

Day 1 Today is the day we leave home. We are going to leave at 5:00 am. For breakfast we ate at the Junction in St Maries. We are going to get on the plane in Spokane and then its off to Dublin!!! Food $ 47

Dublin:

Dublin Hotel $ 261 Airplane $ 1,383 Food $29.50 Dublin is awesome! I have only been here one day and have seen so much! The airplane cost wasn’t bad. The hotel is cool. It was a remodeled castle. We ate Irish stew at a very fancy restaurant. Here are some pictures of Dublin.

To Belfast !!!!:

To Belfast !!!! Train$ 150 Food $ 10 Hotel$150 Total$ 303 We got a train to Belfast, Ireland. The train is so cool. We left from Dublin Connolly Station and traveled right on the shore of the ocean most of the way. When we got there we rented a hotel called The Belfast Hotel. For dinner we got some wonderful Irish Stew.

Castle Bar:

Castle Bar We rented a car and drove from Belfast to Castle Bar. It was a long, but nice drive. Then we booked a room at the Castle Bar Hotel. We ate at the hotel and the food was really good. Car $ 100 Hotel $350 Total 450

Museum:

Museum We are still in Castle Bar. Today we decided to go to the National Museum of Ireland. It is so cool, I can hardly wait! For breakfast we ate fruit at the hotel. The museum entrance was free. It was even cooler then I had imagined. It explained all about Irish history and heritage. Food $ 20 Total $ 20

Peace Park:

Peace Park Today we are going to the Mayo Memorial Peace Park, which is a graveyard for the men and women who died at war. We saw huge statues and monuments, which left us in total awe! Tomorrow we are leaving for Italy. Food $ 10 Total $ 10

Italy:

Italy We ate at a restaurant before we left Ireland. We had a traditional Irish breakfast. It consisted of bacon, fried potato slices, eggs, black and white pudding, and the wonderful potato pancake. Today we got a flight to Rome, Italy. The price for tickets was only $ 444, and the plane was huge! I got a last glance of Ireland as it slipped behind me. The ocean view was awesome. The water was so blue and clear. Tickets $ 444 Food $ 30 Total $ 481.05

Rome:

Rome Finally Rome! The wait to get here was extremely long, but it was worth it! Rome is so cool. At the airport we got our money changed into Euros. The exchange rate was not to our favor. We got a shuttle to the Hotel Ariston where we were staying for our visit. We stayed at the hotel for dinner and ate the best spaghetti! Tomorrow we are going to the Coliseum. Hotel $ 645 Shuttle $ 100 food $ 33 Total $ 745

Tour:

Tour Today is going to be so much fun! In the hotel writing this, I’m looking out over Rome. I’m very exited about the trip to the Coliseum. I had a glimpse of it from the airplane as we were landing. On the way to the Coliseum, we are going to get breakfast. I have decided to get a sausage breakfast casserole. It is so interesting, yet sad here at the Coliseum. It is hard to believe people slaughtered each other here once. We are flying home tomorrow. Even though I have learned so much and was thrilled by some of the sights. I’m anxious to get home. Food $ 37

Flight Home:

Flight Home Flight $ 5271 Cab2.33 Euros We got a cab to the airport and we checked in our bags. As we boarded the plane, I suddenly got home sick. I’m so anxious to get home and have my feet on American soil.

America:

America We got into Spokane at 3 o'clock pm. Our dad came and picked us up at the airport. In three hours we were home. It was so good to be back. After such a thrilling but exhausting trip, I’m going to sleep for the rest of the day( or maybe the rest of the week!). Who knew trips were so exhausting. Gas $ 50
