The grasses grow from the root. Then the leaves sprout up. The long roots are long enough to store water through a drought. Important adaptations help animal and plants survive in the grasslands.Facts About grasslands: Facts About grasslands Grasslands are areas where there is a lot of vegetation. There are grasslands in all continents except Antarctica. Wherever there is warmer climates there is more vegetation.
