An information system is an integrated set of components for collecting, storing, processing, and communicating information . Types of HRIS: Types of HRIS Operational HRIS. Tactical HRIS. Strategic HRIS. Operational HRIS: Operational HRIS Provides data to support and routine repetive human resource decisions. Information is detailed, structured,accurate and internal. Examples of Operational HRIS: Examples of Operational HRIS Tactical HRIS: Tactical HRIS Supports management decisions emphasising allocation of human resources. Examples of Tactical HRIS: Examples of Tactical HRIS Strategic HRIS: Strategic HRIS Help top level managers to set goals and directions for organisation. Gather and manage information from within and without organisation. Examples of Strategic HRIS : Examples of Strategic HRIS Advantages of HRIS: Advantages of HRIS Payroll. Time and Labor management.
