Slide 1:

The AGC Wellness Group met last night at church before Bible Study began. Members attending included: Jack McConnell, David Thomas, Crystal Icenhour, Paul Icenhour, Lisa Hicks, Cindy Briggs and Mary Starnes. Lynn Jones was not able to share her information with us last night due to having to work late. We will check with her to see if she will be able to attend next week and share with us. Names submitted for our group included: The Romans 12 Group (Jack) Reflecting Christ from the Inside Out (Paul) Jesustenance (Mary). Most members in attendance shared that they have committed to exercising more often. Paul: walk every day Crystal: walk every day Lisa: walk every day David: eating South Beach food plan Jack: exercise more Cindy: adhering to Paleo food plan for 3 more weeks. Looking into treadmill/elliptical/glider purchase. Mary: participating in Paleo challenge at Crossfit gym. Exercising at Crossfit 4 x weekly.

Slide 2:

The Wellness Group will meet at 7:00 pm on Wednesdays with 15 minutes for discussions/lectures each week. Anyone who wants to walk laps around the church or weigh in each Wednesday night, please meet at 6:30 pm to do this on Wednesday evenings. Most people in the group are exercising and weighing on their own but if you want to do it at the church, we will have a scale available and their is equipment to exercise on in the fellowship hall. Two recipes were shared by group members: Jack's Turkey Hash 1 Lb. Ground Turkey 1/4 C onions 1/2 yellow squash 4 small mushrooms Garlic to taste Pepper to taste (may use cayenne) Sautee veggies in pan. Add turkey and cook until turkey is done.

Slide 3:

Paleo Banana Pancakes Fork mash 2 bananas Add 1 egg and 2 tsp. almond butter. Mix well with fork. Drop 1/4 C scoops onto heated griddle/skillet and prepare as you would a pancake. Makes 5 mini pancakes. (Sweet enough to eat without syrup!) Keep up the good work everyone! Remember: our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit! See you Sunday!
