Her father beat prostate cancer but now is battling bladder cancer. Her Grandmother is a breast cancer survivor. Kristin Roberts, MathSlide 13: Janey Harper, Health Aide “Early detection was responsible for my successful treatment and prognosis. Remind your friends, mom, sisters, wife to get an annual mammogram. Mammograms save lives!” Janey has been cancer free since 2006!!Slide 14: Kerry Macko , 10 th grade Assistant Principal “At work in November 2009, I found out my father had stage IV terminal lung cancer…it was one of the most devastating days of my life. I knew in my heart my father had lung cancer . I still question whether it is a blessing or a curse that I know my father will soon die. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about my father and when I will see him or talk to him again. Show this video to your first block class on Monday, February 14 th !!In Memory of…: In Memory of… In Memory of: Eric Fisken Starting the week of February 14 th , we will have a table setup outside the cafeteria during lunches where students will be able to fill out the “In Memory of…Lion Cards” to share their story about cancer. We will then be placing the lions on the walls leading down to the Gym as a “Memory and Acknowledgement Lane” for those whose lives have been affected by cancer. These cards will be offered to all staff and students and during the game, to the community members.Lion Paw Prints : Lion Paw Prints When students/staff: buy a ticket to the game dress up for spirit days buy basket tickets volunteer to sell tickets buy a t-shirt They will… sign their name on a paw print hang it up on the wall display Comet Caring and help make a difference for Pluta Cancer CenterT-Shirt Design : T-Shirt Design Each year there is a new t-shirt designed to promote the Faculty Basketball game. The t-shirts are sold for $10 each and all proceeds are donated to Pluta Cancer Center.
