Overview :
Overview Interwrite Pad (IP) gives educators the ability to teach from anywhere in the classroom.
IP creates full technological access within classroom by connecting a wireless pad and pen to computer software specially designed for interactive lessons.
Interwrite Workspace software is uploaded to any MAC or PC in order to enable lessons.
IP utilizes Bluetooth technology to establish communication.
Interwrite Pen :
Interwrite Pen The Interwrite Pen that comes with the pad becomes a writing and drawing instrument.
The pen can
Work like a computer mouse
Hi-light areas of interest
Annotate curriculum pages and screen images
Edit documents
Interwrite Toolbar :
Interwrite Toolbar A toolbar is located on the actual pad and as well as the Interwrite Workspace that is viewed on the computer.
Instructor may utilize either toolbar during instruction.
Toolbar includes the following icons:
Pen - page copy
Hi-lighter - new page (blank & lined)
Clear - previous/next page
Page sorter - save
A mouse icon for switching from Pad to Internet
And many, many more
Pros :
Pros Ability to teach lessons from anywhere in the room
Engaging instruction
Provides a constant visual for students to view and interact with
Enables instructors to create and manipulate instruction as needed
Raises comprehension and math levels
Replaces the overhead projector
Cons :
Cons Need a projector in the classroom for students to view information on a screen
Interwrite Pad will lose its connection through the Bluetooth at times. When this occurs, the instructor must stop the lesson, return to the computer and reconnect the pad.
Technology isn’t always as timely as we would like. The speed of the computer is the speed of the Interwrite Pad
