CONTAINER CORPORATION OF INDIA

INTRODUCTION:

INTRODUCTION CONCOR - The Multimodal Logistics Professionals Ever since globalization transformed the transport sector, national boundaries have become permeable to penetration by trade, creating the need for flexible transport solutions. Intermodalism and containerization were the by-products of this era and were poised to metamorphosize transport of "general cargo", moving it 'seamlessly' through sea and land arteries. Forty years ago, the physical process of exporting or importing goods was arduous. Goods needed to be transported by lorry to the port, unloaded into a warehouse and then reloaded into the ship 'piece by piece'.

TYPES OF CONTAINER:

TYPES OF CONTAINER There are two types of containers. Box container, (A) Refer container, (B) Flat track container, (C) Ventilation Container Tank container

REEFER CONTAINER:

REEFER CONTAINER Refer container is the most expensive container because it contain the entire item which has to supply in the limited period of time. Such as ice-cream, fish, Mutton etc. The Reefer container should always kept on to keep the item fresh. In refer container the generator is to be on to keep the item fresh. Some containers has attach generator some have to buy it.

FLAT TRACK CONTAINER:

FLAT TRACK CONTAINER Flat container has more height then normal box container As you can see it is open track container because it only have the border without shield. The goods can loaded and unloaded easily without any problem. For the protection they use to tie the goods for safety.

VENTILATION CONTAINER:

VENTILATION CONTAINER Ventilation container has small ventilation on their top edges. Ventilation means the space is provided for passing the air otherwise the goods will not be same.

TANK CONTAINER:

TANK CONTAINER Liquid and gases material is carried in tank containers. The liquid and gases materials can be very dangerous for environment and living things. So it is carried in tank containers. Liquid material can be in form of acid or chemicals. The handling of tank container should be very careful.

Import\ Export The trade of transportation in container line is basically Import\ Export These containers comes from shipping department Shipping line is the person who takes the responsibilities of handling the containers. He is the person who can carry any container from any yard he wants. He is only who is more liable for container.

PORTS:

PORTS The main port is NSCIT/ GTI/JNPT These ports are based NAVASHEVA Mumbai. The biggest port in India is MUNDRA. The entire container comes in and goes out through these ports through ships. Port is the place where we receive and give container from other countries. As you can see big crane are used to load and unload container. These load and empty container are use to put on the vehicle. These cranes are use with the help of engineer and lift. Documents are required for passing the container to yards.
