Introduction: : 

Introduction: The Merchant of Venice is one of Shakespeare`s fames plays ,it is written sometime between (1596)and(1598). It is classified as both an early Shakespeare comedy “Christian comedy” and as one of the bard’s problem play’s.

Antonio – Bassanio- Shylock : 

Antonio – Bassanio- Shylock 1_ Antonio is a merchant of Venice and dear friend to Bassanio. His decision to enter a bond with Shylock, risking a pound of his own flesh for Bassanio’s debt, is one of the two major plots of the play . 2_ Bassanio, a Venetian nobleman with financial difficulties. 3_ Shylock, a Jewish moneylender and enemy of Antonio’s.

*Shylock seeks justice for his forfeited bond. : 

(1) “I’ll have my bond.  Speak not against my bond. I have sworn an oath that I will have my bond. Thou called’st me dog before thou hadst a cause, But since I am a dog, beware my fangs. The Duke shall grant me justice.  …”  (3.3.4-8). *Shylock seeks justice for his forfeited bond.
