Data backup before installation : 

Data backup before installation Before starting installation we need to back up the files (data) in a separate drive

XP CD with product key : 

XP CD with product key We should be ready with XP CD with product key Insert CD in CD/DVD Drive and Restart your PC

BIOS Configuration : 

BIOS Configuration After restarting the PC ,we need to setup the BIOS Configuration from CD Drive

Enter into BIOS setup : 

Enter into BIOS setup When your PC restarts, then booting starts Press F2,F1 to enter into BIOS setup

BIOS(Basic Input/Output System) : 

BIOS(Basic Input/Output System) The BIOS setup program - an acronym for Basic Input/Output System - is a vital part of a PC's system, without which nothing can work. It configures the PC's hardware so that the operating system (Windows, Linux, OS X, etc.) can recognize all of it and install the appropriate software device drivers.

Begin the Installation : 

Begin the Installation Insert the Windows XP CD and restart your computer. If prompted to start from the CD, press SPACEBAR.

Partition Selection Press ENTER to select Unpartitioned space, which appears by default.

Format the Partition : 

Format the Partition Press ENTER again to select Format the partition using the NTFS file system.

Formatting : 

Formatting Windows XP format the hard drive and then copies the setup files.

Rebooting your PC : 

Rebooting your PC After completion of configuration the PC will reboot automatically Note: Do not press any key in the process

Networking Settings : 

Networking Settings Select Typical Settings, click NEXT.
