Premium member Presentation Transcript Install Windows XP : Install Windows XP Project Work BY RGUIIIT NUZVID Welcome to Windows XP installation : Welcome to Windows XP installation Data backup before installation : Data backup before installation Before starting installation we need to back up the files (data) in a separate drive XP CD with product key : XP CD with product key We should be ready with XP CD with product key Insert CD in CD/DVD Drive and Restart your PC BIOS Configuration : BIOS Configuration After restarting the PC ,we need to setup the BIOS Configuration from CD Drive Enter into BIOS setup : Enter into BIOS setup When your PC restarts, then booting starts Press F2,F1 to enter into BIOS setup BIOS(Basic Input/Output System) : BIOS(Basic Input/Output System) The BIOS setup program - an acronym for Basic Input/Output System - is a vital part of a PC's system, without which nothing can work. It configures the PC's hardware so that the operating system (Windows, Linux, OS X, etc.) can recognize all of it and install the appropriate software device drivers. Begin the Installation : Begin the Installation Insert the Windows XP CD and restart your computer. If prompted to start from the CD, press SPACEBAR. On the Welcome Page : On the Welcome Page On the Welcome to Setup page, press ENTER. On the Licensing Agreement page : On the Licensing Agreement page On the Licensing Agreement page, read the licensing agreement. Then press F8. Delete the existing partition : Delete the existing partition Press D, and then press L when prompted to deletes your existing data.
