Slide 12:

But this year, the Banner remained steadfast over P’burg High!

Slide 13:

It was Phillipsburg’s year to STEAL the show!

Slide 14:

A year when the entire school . .

Slide 15:

Would come together as one . . E Pluribus Unum!

Slide 16:

A student walk with . . .

Slide 17:

one unified goal: BEAT EASTON!

Slide 18:

The challenge at hand was fierce.

Slide 19:

Easton quarterback, Justin Pacchioli, entered the game having thrown for 1,533 yards and run for 578 yards with 19 total touchdowns.

Slide 20:

The Rover Nation also had Bisci and Souders who had combined for 70 catches on the year AND….

Slide 21:

a team that had combined for 2486 rushing yards AND

Slide 22:

a 10-1 record.

Slide 23:

Suzy needed to keep the students into the game.

Slide 24:

800 STATELINERS were up for the task.

Slide 25:

cheering,

Slide 26:

yelling,

Slide 27:

waving,

Slide 28:

and hoping

Slide 29:

that this was our year!

Slide 30:

BEAT EASTON was on everyone’s mind.

Slide 31:

As the snow fell, the student enthusiasm increased.

Slide 40:

Although the conditions grew worse,

Slide 41:

the band never stopped playing and

Slide 42:

the cheerleaders never stopped cheering!

Slide 43:

The cold weather and close score produced many concerned faces.

Slide 44:

But right from the coin toss, this was Phillipsburg’s Game.

Slide 45:

This team had heard enough about the streak of four straight losses.

Slide 46:

Regardless of the field conditions, this Stateliner Team was

Slide 47:

set to tear up Easton’s offense.

Slide 48:

Their Defensive General was ready to take them to battle.

Slide 49:

Could the defense contain Middleton and Bambary?

Slide 50:

Could they stop Pacchioli?

Slide 51:

Could Sullivan and the defense answer the call?

Slide 52:

It would take a total team effort with . . .

Slide 53:

focus and determination.

Slide 54:

Some dreams . . .

Slide 55:

live on in time forever.

Slide 56:

Those dreams, you want

Slide 57:

with all your heart.

Slide 58:

And I’ll do

Slide 59:

whatever it takes

Slide 60:

Follow through

Slide 61:

with the promise I made

Slide 62:

put it all on the line

Slide 63:

what I hoped for

Slide 64:

at last

Slide 65:

would be mine.

Slide 66:

if I could reach,

Slide 67:

higher

Slide 68:

just for one moment touch the sky

Slide 69:

from that one moment in my life.

Slide 70:

I’m gonna be

Slide 71:

stronger

Slide 72:

know that I’ve tried my very best .

Slide 73:

and put my spirit to the test

Slide 74:

If I could reach

Slide 75:

Some days

Slide 76:

are meant to be

Slide 77:

remembered

Slide 78:

those days

Slide 79:

we rise above

Slide 80:

the stars

Slide 81:

so I’ll go

Slide 82:

the distance this time

Slide 83:

seeing more the higher I climb.

Slide 84:

that the more I believe

Slide 85:

All the more that this dream

Slide 86:

will be mine.

Slide 87:

if I could reach

Slide 88:

higher.

Slide 89:

just for one moment touch the sky

Slide 90:

from that one moment in my life

Slide 91:

I’m gonna be

Slide 92:

stronger.

Slide 93:

Know that I’ve tried my very best

Slide 94:

put my spirit to the test

Slide 95:

If I could reach

Slide 96:

If I could reach, higher

Slide 97:

Just for one moment touch the sky

Slide 98:

that one moment in my life

Slide 99:

I’m gonna be stronger

Slide 100:

I’m gonna be so much stronger, yes, I am.

Slide 101:

I put my spirit to the test

Slide 102:

If I could reach, higher. If I could reach,

Slide 103:

I’d reach, I’d reach . .so much higher!

Slide 104:

With one kick, the Easton Band stopped playing and

Slide 105:

the bonfire was “extinguished”

Slide 106:

and the “fireworks”

Slide 107:

were set to begin for Stateliner fans!

Slide 108:

Celebration!

Slide 109:

Excitement!

Slide 110:

Achievement!

Slide 111:

Victorious.

Slide 112:

Champions!

Slide 113:

and heartbreak!

Slide 114:

Slide 122:

Tom Hinkle’s comment: “Phillipsburg either outmuscled or blew by Easton's offensive line.”

Slide 123:

Michael LoRé’s comment: “The Red Rovers finished with just 38 yards on the ground and 60 yards of total offense against a suffocating P’burg defense.”

Slide 124:

DOMINATION

Slide 125:

“Supremacy over another, exercise of mastery.”

Slide 126:

Domination may be underestimating what happened in this game!

Slide 127:

What ever word is chosen to describe this win, remember this is more than “just a game”!

Slide 128:

The front page of USA TODAY November 22, 2006: “This is the greatest high school rivalry in the nation.”

Slide 129:

Anyone who thinks this is “just a game” needs to ask these students…

Slide 130:

or these students

Slide 131:

or ask him if this is “just a game”.

Slide 132:

They need to ask him . .

Slide 133:

or him

Slide 134:

or them!

Slide 135:

or these kids!

Slide 136:

ask this group!

Slide 137:

P-What? You think that these guys think this is “just a game”?

Slide 138:

Ask these 1000 Stateliners if this is “just a game”.

Slide 139:

We all need to remember that when . .

Slide 141:

A town, community AND

Slide 142:

school win!
