"iPods in The Classroom” : 

"iPods in The Classroom” Description: Teachers can integrate famous speeches to their students and have them listen to the original speech.  English Language Learners also benefit from iPod use because they can have vocabulary words on flashcards on their iPods.  Since the English Language Learning students have such easy access to the vocabulary they are learning they can review as many times as they want until they completely grasp their vocabulary using methods such as hearing the vocabulary and having to use it in a sentence. Reasoning: As a teacher you are able to integrate audio seamlessly into the classroom.  With curriculum based material on an iPod, it is easy for a student to take their work home and share the material they are learning with their parents.

“iPod Use in Elementary School Library” : 

“iPod Use in Elementary School Library” Description: iPods are being used in libraries to  improve reading comprehension.  An iPod allows a student access to both music and audio books.  IPods allow students an “on the go” type of learning.  Students with visual impairments or language deficiencies benefit from iPod use. Reasoning: Integrating iPods into elementary curriculum is an approach to preparing elementary students for the future.  Introducing elementary students to iPods at an early stage will prepare them with the ability to integrate technology into their learning and prepare them to use technology in their future upper grades.

“Slide Share Present Yourself” Description: This website provides with many power point presentations that teachers have implemented in their classrooms. The power point presentations are full of information that talk about the different ways iPods can benefit students and teachers in the classroom. Reasoning: They provide with reasons for why iPods should be implemented in the classroom, it provides some lesson plans, and it shows how the students can be assessed with it. They also talk about that iPods are a great motivator for students to use in class. They show how students can be encouraged.

“iTunes” Description: This page is one of many from Apple’s online website. This source provides a link to download new software for the iPod, purchase songs, videos, etc., updates on modern artists, albums, and songs today, and a detailed search engine to narrow down the search for songs and such. Alongside this page are other pages titled, “iPod” that provides updates, comparisons, and prices for new and different versions of the iPod including accessorizing merchandise for the iPod. Reasoning: Educators will be allowed to use this site to purchase iPods of their liking, speakers, and headsets to use for audio assistance throughout school time. They will also be able to purchase musical material for their class, lesson plans, and classroom ambiance

“ETNI: English Teachers Network” : 

“ETNI: English Teachers Network” Description: This website provides a list of songs and lyrics. It is organized by grade level and subject. This source also has links for optional lesson plans to go with the songs provided and a search engine for easy and quick browsing throughout the page. Reasoning: Through this web page, teachers can easily choose a song that would best fit their lesson plan and print out lyrics for their students to follow along with.
