2 Notice of Proposed Construction 40,000 airspace studies each year FAR Part 157 requires notice when building near an airport 700 studies in Alaskan Region Each study’s geographic coordinates must be verified The geographic data is assumed to be incorrect E-file served over the web available for high volume users Training, passwords, etc. All studies are mailed to a central office and scanned, attachments bar coded, etc. by clerical staff The airspace analysis is done in the region Correspondence letters and determinations with an electronic signature are sent from a central processing facility Goal is to reach 80 percent e-file…. Less paper!
