To generate, through its CSR initiatives, a community goodwill for GAIL and help reinforce a positive & socially responsible image of GAIL as a corporate entity. 10/19/2010 4 CSR POLICY : GAIL’s Thrust Areas And Percentage Allocation Of the CSR Budget CSR POLICY GAIL allocates 2% of its previous year PAT for implementing socially useful programmes for welfare of under-privileged, socially/economically deprived segment of society within its 7 thrust areas CSR POLICY : CSR POLICY Contribution Towards Corpus of GAIL Charitable and Education Trust: An amount of Rs. 5 Crores will be earmarked each year, till the corpus reaches a figure of Rs. 50 Crores Contribution Towards Relief For Natural Calamities Or Disasters: Allocation of 10% of the CSR budget each year, subject to a minimum of Rs. 5 Crores Need Identification, Impact Assessment and Sponsorship of CSR events/publications: 3% of the annual CSR Budget will be earmarked towards cumulative expenditure 10/19/2010 6 CSR POLICY (Contd…) : CSR POLICY (Contd…) Allocation of budget to GAIL work centres where CSR activities are concentrated: GAIL work- centres which have a dominance of SC/ST population Allocation towards MoP&NG/Govt.
