Bluetooth Definition: From where the word Bluetooth Word Originated : ”Bluetooth” word came into existence from 10th century king of denmark and norway. The name “BLATAND” loosely translated into “BLUETOOTH”. This technology is invented by the Sweden-based telecommunication devices. From where the word Bluetooth Word Originated What is the relevancy between King’s name and wireless technology? : The king did great services by forming Norway and Denmark. Based on this philosophy Bluetooth was invented by ERICSSON. This is invented with the purpose of combining different kinds of devices .Such as computers ,mobiles, laptops, cameras, printer’s , MP3 players. What is the relevancy between King’s name and wireless technology? How Bluetooth Works : IEEE has accepted it as 802.15 standard. Bluetooth was developed with a purpose of creating a single digital wireless device, capable of connecting multiple devices . It enables short-range wireless communication thus replacing wires connecting the electronic devices. Both voice and data transmissions with in short distances are possible ,By replacing wired LAN’s. How Bluetooth Works Slide 6: Bluetooth technology makes use of the concept of Master and slave. Devices have to wait until the master gives the permission to transmit the data. One master and up to seven slaves can employ a star topology to form a network. Bluetooth communications: : Short range wireless radio technology can operate with in the range of 10 meters. Simplifying communications between: - devices and the internet - data synchronization “USB without wires”. Bluetooth communications: Applications: : Unwired communication between input and output devices of a computer is possible by BLUETOOTH. Computers can form a wireless network in a limited space. Wireless communication is possible between a mobile phone and a handset. It is used in the field of networking computing and telecommunications Applications: Advantages: : Wireless (No cables) Low power consumption Faster data and voice Sharing Economical Best alternative to data transfer Simplifies communication while driving No setup is needed Bluetooth is secure. Advantages: Disadvantages: : Disadvantages: It covers only short ranges. Mostly for personal use (PAN’S) Slide 11: Any Queries. . . !
