Pre Test for Placement Brigance Reading Vocabulary Comprehension Grade Placement Test- Grades K -6 Gates MacGinitie Reading Test – Grades 7-9 or Grades 10-12 Brigance Math Test – All Grades VERY IMPORTANT!!! Administering the Pre Test- Elementary Reading Grades K-6 : 

Administering the Pre Test- Elementary Reading Grades K-6 Grade 1 Grade 2 Grade 3 Grade 4 Grade 5 Grade 6 Grade 7 Grade 8 Start student one grade level below, his/her actual grade level. Discontinue at the level where the student fails to comprehend (pass) at least 2 of the 3 word lists. The reading level is the last level upon which the student completed 2 of the 3 word lists correctly.

Student Learning Plan(Complete One Per Subject) : 

Student Learning Plan(Complete One Per Subject) Teacher Record Keep copies of each students’ learning plans in the teacher’s records. ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔

Tutoring Program Sequence Review : 

Tutoring Program Sequence Review Give student the Gates MacGinitie Reading Test and the Brigance Math Test. Grade tests and complete the student learning plans in reading and math. Record the scores on the Pre/Post Test Data Sheet. Learning plans will be sent for parent signatures by the District. Go over the results with the student and with the parent.

Student Daily Sequence : 

Student Daily Sequence Student looks at his/her learning plans and selects worksheets based on lesson codes on the plans. Student studies and completes lessons, gets individual and group instruction from the teacher. If the lesson is passed (80%), student goes on to next lesson on the prescription sheet. If not, student asks the teacher for help and/or additional study materials. Once the lessons are all passed for the LU Level, student moves up to the next LU Level Student repeats the above steps until all levels in LU for Reading and Math are completed.
