Lyrics :

Lyrics Bottles as well it's justSomething to talk about A story to tell youWell I'm so glad they turned us all away we'll put it down to fateI thought a thousand million things that I could never think this morningGot too deep, but how deep is too deep? This town's a different town todayThis town's a different town to what it was last nightYou couldn't have done that on a SundayThat girl's a different girl todayThat girl's a different girl to her you kissed last nightYou couldn't have done that on a SundayLast night what we talked aboutIt made so much senseBut now the haze has ascendedIt don't make no sense anymore Last night these two bouncersAnd one of em's alrightThe other one's the scary oneHis way or no way, totalitarianHe's got no time for youLooking or breathingHow he doesn't want you toSo step out the queueHe makes examples of youAnd there's nowt you can sayBehind they go through to the bit where you payAnd you realize then that it's finally the timeTo walk back past ten thousand eyes in the lineAnd you can swap jumpers and make another moveInstilled in your brain you've got something to proveTo all the smirking faces and the boys in blackWhy can't they be pleasant? Why can't they have a laugh? He's got his hand in your chestHe wants to give you a duffWell secretly I think they want it all to kick offThey want, arms flying everywhere and

Lyrics :

Lyrics We decided to use this song for a few reasons, one of the reason was that we found the song was easy for us to relate to, as a lot of us have had a similar experience of a night not ending up the way you initially hoped but also turning out for the better. Some of the lyrics can be strong for example ‘put it down to fate’. Although you will be able to think of must stronger lyrics in different songs, we believe this song begins quite light hearted but hints at a serious ‘love story’. As we all thought it as one of Arctic Monkeys best songs we thought this song would be very interesting to produce a video for and we think we have an original and interesting idea.

Plan of Narrative :

Plan of Narrative The narrative of the music video will be to show a bouncer's life in comparison to a young lad. It will follow the bouncers sad life at home (powerless). Then gets to work and takes it out on other people. Compared to the young lad who is happy and has a happy life in and outside of his home. Cuts between the bouncer’s life and the young lads, in order to shown how the young lad is having a better time than the boucer with all his friends. Begins: Getting ready in the mirror : cuts between the boucer and the young lad. Bouncer walking down the street. Bouncer and the young lad at the night club. Young lad gets turned away from the nightclub. Meets a girl. Has a good night.

Slide 6:

Old fashioned bouncer Rough and Tough Unhappy and Sad Middle Aged Young Lad! Bouncer! In early twenties Neat and well presented Happy and full of life Fashionable

Plan of Performance :

Plan of Performance Performance walking down the street, following the bouncer, as if he doesn’t know we are there. This will be a tracking shot, which follows the boucer walking along to work. On top of a cliff. This shot will show the band playing. No stage work. We have decided not to do stage performances in our music video as we think it is very generic in music videos and stereotypical, also we think that when stage performance are done they can sometimes come off very poorly as the audience is never big enough.

Pictures of Performance :

Pictures of Performance Blyth cliff, short band performance here with light house in the background Whitley Bay skatepark, late night performance Northumberland street, again a late night performance

Costumes/Props/Locations/Actors :

Costumes/Props/Locations/Actors Suit with bow tie, band clothes. Jeans, tee shirts. Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Microphone, Amps. Actors – Tom, Angus, Dec (bouncer) Jack fairly, Jake, glen, Krissy, Megan, Brendan and Katie. Cliff top (Blyth) Skate park, Northumberland street, houses, Beacon flats, links avenue, back alley (Whitley bay).

Killer Shots! :

Killer Shots! A shot on the cliff of the band performing, this would be good because it is quite original and offers a different type of performance to the usual stage Time lapse on the cliff of sun setting possibly all night. This would be an excellent as it is a beautiful view and would look amazing. Time lapse of clock this would show the young men having a very good time and having no worries about anything else Shot of the coast road shows the taxi going towards the clubs could also be a very interesting shot.
