Slide 2:Input, output, what goes in is what comes out.. Input, output, That is what it’s all about. Input, output, Your mind is a computer whose Input, output daily you must choose. Let the Bible be your primary feed It’s got all the data you need. Talk to Jesus, all the time That’s the way that you can stay on line! If your print-out reads—to lie or cheat, There’s some data you should delete. Debug your mind of sinful bytes, Then you will operate all right! Who is in control?


Slide 3:Your mind has a powerful effect on your life. Emerson wrote: “Man becomes what he thinks about all day long.” He was right, but Solomon said it first: Prov 4:23 - Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. Prov 23:7 - For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. And Jesus said: For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man out of his good treasure brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth what is evil. - Mt 12:34-35 Who is in control?


Slide 4:Our greatest battle is the fight to control our mind. We live in a sexual, sensual society. Every- where we look, from toothpaste commercials to billboards, from advertisements in popular magazines to TV commercials in prime time, from popular music to the most popular TV shows: it is clear that our society has gone “sex crazy.” We Christians are caught right in the center of a war for the control of our minds.

Slide 6:Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Who is in control?


Slide 7:Luke 6:45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. Mark 7:20-23 That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, pro- ceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man. Who is in control?


Slide 8:Garbage In . . . Garbage out! For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.. - Mt 12:34 If I’m not happy with what’s going on in my mind, the solution is obvious… If I want to change the “output”, I have to change the “input.” Philippians 4:8 tells us we can gain control of our mind… and of what goes on inside it.


Slide 9:Phil 4:8-9 …whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things…practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you.


Slide 10:Let you mind dwell on things that are: True Honorable Right Pure Lovely Of good repute Excellent Worthy of praise …and the God of peace shall be with you You are what you are because of what you put into your mind. You can put in better things and become a better Christian. It is entirely up to you; the world has no control over who you are or how completely you give yourself to the Lord.


Slide 11:The way to gain control of our mind is just “2” simple: 2 Cor 7:1 - Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit. Col 3:5-6 - …put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness… Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience Col 3:1-4 - If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Col 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.


Slide 12:When we feel like the carnal world is gaining control, there is a sure way to defeat the world: Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. Prov 4:23 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Prov 23:7


Slide 13:Control of your mind means control of your life: Let Jesus do it by filling your mind with His Word !
