Introduction LED. SOLID STATE LED Lighting starts with a tiny chip comprising layers of semi-conducting material. LED packages may contain just one chip or multiple chips, mounted on heat-conducting material and usually enclosed in lens or encapsulate; LED lightings are rated at >50,000 hours.

A 12 volts battery is used for the Home Lighting System. Battery is charged though a Solar PV Module, and usually charged in a sunny day. 3 to 4 LED bulbs were used in each house. The battery used is maintenance free.
