Best practices for positive impression Smile Happy, confident, approachable-and likeable Open body language Having arms folded or across your body makes you appear closed. Forward lean Leaning forward slightly shows that you’re interested in other person. Touch ( e g. Handshake) A hand shake is either too weak or strong can leave a negative impression. Eye contact No eye contact shows uncomfortable or disinterested in them. Nod A slight nod is indicates non verbally you are saying “yes” .
