What do you need to do this year? Make sure the equity audits are complete and focus identified. Work with your team to identify activities to improve in your focus area. Help facilitate an “experience” for the faculty on religious diversity.

Implementation of Core and Interventions : 

Implementation of Core and Interventions Core Programs are in Place RFP for interventions in K-12 Math and Reading have been issued. Interventions will be selected by September 15.

What do you need to do this year? : 

What do you need to do this year? Ensure that the core programs are being implemented with fidelity. Participate in the discussion and planning for the roll-out of the interventions- including a training plan.

Training in RtI : 

Training in RtI Steering Committee Continuing their work. RFP still open for the RtI management system.

What do you need to do this year? : 

What do you need to do this year? Nothing- we will delay training in the RtI model until spring and summer of 2011- If asked, participated in review of electronic management system.

Assumptions : 

Assumptions A strong core program is imperative for student success. Every school must have a culture of inclusion. RtI features a School-based Support Team that focuses on creating success in the general education program.

Important Understanding : 

Important Understanding RtI and the student support team is not meant to “circumvent” the special education eligibility process. School-based Support team for general education interventions There will be a separate process for determining eligibility for special education services.

Using the Universal Screener : 

Using the Universal Screener Specialist-led team will set a baseline. Teachers will list all students who fall below the baseline for consideration for interventions. The school/grade level teams will consider each student’s score (below baseline) and determine tier placement.

Using the Universal Screener-2 : 

Using the Universal Screener-2 * Students in tier 2 and 3 will be entered into the electronic monitoring system. * Parents will be notified of tier 2/3 support. * Remediator enters student plan in the electronic RtI system

Tier I Interventions- Reading/Math : 

Tier I Interventions- Reading/Math Provided within the core program For students at or just above the baseline score on the universal screener Implemented by the classroom teacher as part of the regular program

Tier 2/3 Interventions Reading and Math : 

Tier 2/3 Interventions Reading and Math In addition to the core program Administered by remediation staff * At the secondary level these interventions may be built into the course schedule.

Progress Monitoring : 

Progress Monitoring Tier I- regular classroom assessments * Records maintained by the teacher Tier 2/3- prescribed intervention assessment at identified time intervals * Records maintained by the remediator through the electronic RtI system
